Aloha!

My name is Augusto

and I will build and guide you through the process of creating your website so you don’t have to waste your valuable time doing it alone.

I manage the composting program in Manoa Elementary School, but before that I went through the GoFarm Hawaii farmer training program.

When I was in AgPro, I built a mobile responsive website to input and store data for my record keeping. When I transitioned to AgIncubator, I incorporated e-commerce to my website to run the CSA subscriptions. For the composting program in Manoa Elementary, I built another website to help me sell the finished compost to the community. My latest project involved revamping the website for Oahu Resource Conservation & Development Council (Oahu RC&D).

When COVID-19 hit Hawaii, many businesses had to shut-down. Farmers who had accounts with restaurants and hotels had to quickly figure out how to find other channels to push their products. Luckily the local demand for fresh farm products grew rapidly which allowed farmers to pivot their business model to selling directly to consumers.

Knowing that the pandemic is here to stay for a while, it is clear to me that farmers need marketing and sales support more than ever. So I made it my mission to provide small farmers an affordable online infrastructure to facilitate sales, marketing, and farming operations.

FAQs

The value of a website is that it gives you the opportunity to establish your farm business on the Internet. Your website may be the first impression people have of your farm and can make a huge difference in reaching potential customers.

In today’s time, the internet has become a place to browse through all sorts of things such as fresh produce. With so many options available online, it only makes sense that someone who is looking to purchase something should be able to do it online.

Having an online store in your website allows you to sell your produce while you work on your farm with no overhead costs such as rent or utilities.

Record keeping is important in an agricultural setting to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of farm activities. Record keeping allows farmers to have a more accurate understanding of the resources present on their farm, as well as how these resources are being used. Record-keeping also provides historical information which can be beneficial in preventing damage or losses in a particular time and season.

If you intend to obtain organic certification, public officials require organic farmers to maintain a record of their efforts in order to verify that they are following the organic standards.
